About FiSSC
The Fukuoka International Student Support Center (FiSSC)
Fukuoka International Student Support Center’s Administrative Council* was established to promote the numerous attractive features of Fukuoka, and to help attract and nurture diverse global talent.
With academia, municipalities, industry and local communities joining hands, this student support organization was the first of its kind in Japan.
FiSSC supports international students in their study lives, daily lives and in employment, serving as a second home, and contributes to producing talented individuals who will flourish on the world stage while maintaining their connections with Fukuoka Prefecture.
*Fukuoka International Student Support Center’s Administrative Council is run by the staff of the International Student Department of the Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation. The Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation is engaged in promoting exchange with Asian nations, nurturing global human resources, assisting foreign residents in Fukuoka, promoting international awareness among local residents and building overseas networks with Fukuoka Prefecture Citizens Associations (Kenjinkai).
