Leaving home to go to Japan was one of the best things that ever happened in my life. When I got there, of course I missed my family and friends, but I made a lot of new friends, and some of those relationships are still strong today.
I remembered that when I did not have even 100 yen to pay buy foods, I had to borrow money from my friend to buy breads instead of rise for lunch. The most important thing is that I had to learn to take care of myself. I never realized how much my parents did for me, and I learned to appreciate their love and kindness.
Taking care of myself taught me to be careful and responsible for my life. It helps me to be mature and independent. Also, knowing that we can take care of ourselves gives us a sense of freedom. It's wonderful feeling.
Thank you, my parents who allowed me, explore the world, and discover a world of knowledge in Japan.
